Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the greatest adventures of Asia and the rest of the world.
Trekking to the Everest base camp is one of the greatest adventures of Asia and the rest of the world. The Base Camp is positioned on an elevation of 5364 meters over sea level, is reached following the routes strolled once by Sir Edmund Hillary, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, and many pioneer Mountaineers.
Everest Base Camp trek is the best destination to experience the sheer Himalayas of Nepal. It is the glory in itself to walk up to the heart of Mt. Everest, the highest peak of earth. It begins from the mountain town Lukla (2810 m), which welcomes you with the warm hospitality of a typical Sherpa tradition. Their spiritual connection with the mountains is sure to fascinate you, as you begin to dive into their lifestyle, traditions, and cultures.
This trek leads you to the Khumbu Valley, allowing you to be intimidated by the naturally diversified Sagarmatha National Park which is also enlisted on the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. The immense beauty of the Rhododendron forest, birch and pine forest, suspension bridges on the narrow streams are mesmerizing enough to steal your heart. The trail that goes along the Dudh Koshi river valley is beautifully crafted with the lush green forest and diverse fauna. Also, it takes you to these mountain villages Tengboche, and Dingboche which are among the most exciting destinations on the Everest Base Camp Trek.
During this trek, the trail directs you to the famous villages of Namche and Khumjung as well as Tengboche monastery and many other Gompas while relishing the exceptional mountain vistas in every single step of the journey.
Another attraction of this trek is the climb to Kalapatthar (5,500m) hill-top, most famous for the panoramic view of the highest peaks including Mt Everest (8848.86m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Makalu (8,470 m), and Cho Oyu (8,201 m).
However, this legendry trekking route requires some kind of prior training and experience regarding the difficulty level. The base camp, being the goal of thousands of trekkers around the globe, is considered moderately tough. Despite the fact, it gives an immense sense of grandeur to witness and capture the breathtaking Himalayas and its residence, spirituality of Sherpas and their courageous mountain stories, Buddhist Gompas, and Monasteries. Every resource of the region is beautifully and inextricably linked to the glorious mountains and the landscapes.
