Everest three Pass Trek

Everest three Pass Trek

Everest three pass trek

Everest three pass trek, a classic trekking route through the Khumbu valley, is one of the numerous thrilling adventures of the Everest region. You reach the ultimate destination at Everest base camp passing through three fantastic mountain passes popularly called Cho La Pass, Kongma La Pass, and Renjo La Pass. This trek offers you a single framed view of sky-kissing peaks of Everest (8848 meters), Lhotse (8516 meters), Makalu (8463 meters), and Cho Oyu (8201 meters)

As soon as your flight lands in the Lukla airport, the chills of the Himalayas are sure to welcome you. The trek begins from Lukla, passing the Dudh Koshi river you will witness the majestic snowcapped mountain ranges, the lush green of Sagarmatha National Park, Birch, and Rhododendron forest while ascending. On approaching the higher altitude, the vegetation gradually fades to the alpines and the rocky landscapes. Reaching the Everest Base Camp (5364 meters), the heavenly wide-angled view of mountains all around melts your heart even at that freezing temperature.

You will cross the three passes sightseeing the frozen glaciers and the mountains. Kongma La Pass (5,545m) is the first pass you will cross while trekking across the valleys indulged in Buddhism and getting to explore the Sherpa Villages. On the way lies a sideway climb to iconic Kala Patthar that enables you some of the best views of the Everest Region adorned with the most admired sunrises and daylights. Then, after a climb to EBC, trek heads towards Cho La Pass (5330 m) which takes you up to the Gokyo valley. The mind-blowing Gokyo lake is worth capturing in your eyes. After Gokyo, you will pass through Renjo La Pass (5350m) and then climb down exploring the popular Thame valley, on the way back to the Namche bazaar.

Not only the mountains, the beauty of typical mountain residents, i.e Sherpa villages, Monasteries and Gumbas are equally fascinating aspects of this trek. These valleys and villages tucked amidst the mountains are totally worth all the weariness that you will have in this long and challenging trek.
